School Reporters from Greenvale School in Lewisham have been investigating how their band, One Love, could make a hit record. WEST MIDLANDS Pupils from Barrs Hill School in Coventry have produced an animation as part of BBC News' School Report. It looks at the dangers of knife crime. A Birmingham student toured the BBC Westminster studios - accompanied by BBC Midlands Today reporter Laura May MacMullan - to find out how political news is put together. WEST Since the millennium, people from over 100 other countries have settled in Bristol - the majority from Somalia and a number of eastern European countries. Students from Ashton Park and Fairfield High asked some of the new arrivals at their schools how they were getting on. SOUTH Maggie Philbin helped School Reporters at the John Madejski Academy in Whittley make the news. Sarah Burbedge reports. EAST Pupils at Knights Templar in Baldock investigate the merits of cycle helmets after a classmate died in a road accident a few months ago, and they made a film for School Report on Look East. Pupils from the East of England take part in School Report's attempt to set a new World Record by creating the world's largest interactive weather report. Students also outline the topics they will cover in their News Day news bulletins. SCOTLAND Lasswade High School report from a care centre in Dalkeith which provides treatment, support and advice for ex-servicemen and women. NORTH EAST AND CUMBRIA BBC Look North's Stephanie Lloyd visited Mortimer Community College in South Tyneside. EAST MIDLANDS Young reporters from Shepshed High School spoke to 12-year-old Fahrran about her sponsored ride in aid of the charity Help 4 Heroes. Pupils have been looking into the role of CCTV cameras in the Ilkeston area for School Report. WALES Pupils at Rhyl High School report on the issue of organ donation as part of a BBC scheme to encourage pupils. The Eisteddfod is a long-running celebration of Welsh culture with competitions in singing, dancing, writing and poetry. Monmouth Comprehensive School decided to make a report explaining more about it. NORTHERN IRELAND Pupils from St Cecilia's College, Londonderry, talk about the slang they're familiar with.
