Orville revealed he was four in duck years (38 in human years)

Students at Wirral Grammar School for Boys have delivered an exclusive interview with one-time television star Orville.

The duck, accompanied by ventriloquist Keith Harris, spoke to Year 8 school reporter Harry.

"Orville was quite funny - he was making jokes - but Keith was very serious, with a very posh voice," said Harry.

"I asked them how old Orville was. He said he was four in duck years, which is 38 in human years.

"I asked him if Orville has a girlfriend - he said no, he's been too busy."

Frisbee champion

Students at the school are also working on a debate about whether the fence between the school for boys, and the neighbouring girls' school, should be demolished - a story teacher Lynne Warren says is a "hot topic".

And Year 8 student Jonathan has uncovered a sports champion within the school.

"We've got a story about ultimate frisbee - we've got a champ in our school," he said.

"We have done an interview with him, and the organiser of the championship."

The school is rounding off its reporting with a look at Fairtrade Fortnight, and a report on the rivalry between football clubs Liverpool and Manchester United.
