Fred Wiseman is one of the world's greatest living documentary makers.

Throughout his long career he has studied the institutions of contemporary life - from hospital wards to high school classrooms, from army basic training, to now a ballet company.

The BBC caught up with him to talk about his latest film "La Danse - Le Ballet de l'Opera de Paris", which is released in the UK on April 23rd.
