For Mary and Liam Christie, the parents of luge athlete Jeff, the Olympics on home soil are the culmination of a journey that started at the Calgary Games in 1988 when they took Jeff to see the events.
This year mum is a volunteer, daughter Kaisa works for the Vancouver Olympic committee, and Jeff races down the sliding track in Whistler.
Meanwhile, dad keeps the hundreds of friends and relatives informed and organised.
