The life of an artist can often be a challenge - with the struggle to make ends meet and find a receptive audience. Many have day jobs that allow them to pursue their passion, but for painter and Lieutenant Colonel David Richardson his canvases are inspired by the travels he has taken for his very full time occupation.
In this First Person account, Richardson tells the BBC what makes him thrive in two very separate worlds.
