Linda Seger's home was flooded to the second floor when the river in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, reached record levels in June 2008.
Together with their six children and 15 grandchildren, she and her husband Gary decided to rebuild the home that had long been the centre of the family's activities.
She tells the story of how the family pulled together during the 10-month rebuilding process and 5,000 hours of manual labour.
