Currently 33 million people around the world are infected with HIV and many rely on the American government to pay for their life saving drugs.

Much of that funding comes from a program established in 2003 by George W Bush.

Now his successor, President Obama, has come under fire by campaigners for weakening America's commitment to the fight - an accusation the White House denies.
