Charlie Christ, the Republican Governor of Florida, made it official this week and announced he is running for the US Senate seat as an Independent. His rival for the Republican nomination, Marco Rubio, picked up some key Tea Party support and big name supporters. But could there be implications for the GOP nationwide?
