It is one of the largest music festivals in the United States and every year thousands of music lovers gather in Austin, Texas for South by Southwest.

The annual celebration features a wide variety of acts and for the band Spoon it is a chance to headline in their own backyard.

But perhaps what is even more impressive is that Spoon have actually improved their fortunes at a time when the music industry is taking a big hit from the internet age.

In this first person account Spoon's frontman Britt Daniel takes us inside his band and the festival which has become a huge hit.
