Honouring America's veterans

Shortly after the opening of the World War II Memorial on the National Mall in 2004 Retired Air Force Captain Earl Morse felt compelled to bring veterans out to see it.

But from that first flight the programme has grown and now thousands of World War II veterans from around the country are brought free of charge to see the memorial which commemorates their service.

In this first person account Captain Morse talks about the personal impact Honor Flights makes on every trip.
