Who are you?

I am Pitman.

How would you describe your music?

Straight to the point, proper, no holds barred, the truth (in my opinion) and heavy beats.

Do you live in Coalville?

I've got my own pit there, which is called Herc's Yard. Named after the originator of Hip Hop kool DJ Herc. I've got an entertainment room down there where I can monitor the goings on of everybody.

Why are you so angry?

I don't think I am angry, I think I'm happy - it's just that people don't get me.

Who's your greatest musical inspiration?

George Formby, he's got a good strum. James Brown, Amadeus and The Thompson Twins.

What do you think of current Rap music?

It's pretty s**t in the States at the minute because they'd rather get on MTV Cribs than make a decent LP. So that makes the UK stuff stand out more which is a good thing.

What should we use the closed coal mines for?

Nightclubs. To get in the club you have to be dirty - there would be no alcohol served, just tea. Bring your own biscuits 'cause you can't have mine.

Who are your heroes and villains?

Heroes: Me mam, George Formby, Paul McCartney and Jonathan Wilson, the guy who makes my spades.

Villains: Michael Jackson, Bruce Willis, my neighbours cat, Lisa Riley and anybody who goes on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

I understand that Jarvis Cocker and Damien Hirst are celebrity fans.

I believe that there are some celebrities of some sort that have heard my records.
