Faces of terror and terrible faces
Now, with the threat of terrorism hanging over us like a malevolent bus shelter, the free world needs to believe more than ever in the intelligence of our security services.

We need to believe it with the same fervour as R Kelly believed he had the power of flight.

Khalid - with beard
That's why we were kind of worried when we checked the FBI's website about Khalid Shaikh Mohammed - the guy they caught recently.

Here he is with a beard and a traditional Arab head-dress.

And again still with the beard, but with a jacket and tie.
Khalid - with another beard
So the website says: "Mohammed is known to wear either a full beard or a trimmed beard, or he may be clean shaven."

And when they caught him, what did he have?

Khalid - with moustache
A moustache.

Ooh, so close!

You haven't really grasped the concept of facial hair, have you, boys?

What about sideburns? He could've looked like the bloke out of Supergrass, for God's sake.

Anyway, the FBI have a Top Ten Most Wanted list - although they don't mention whether they take commercial airplay into account.

Now top of their list is obviously this chap.

'Usama' Bin Laden
Of course it is - the Obi Wan Kenobi Of Terror - Osama himself.

But we think we may be onto why it is taking them so long to track him down.

They've called him Usama Bin Laden.

Yup, after years of just giving him weapons, they've finally put the"USA" into "Usama".

It's the most fundamental error they could make - they've spelt his name wrong - no wonder they haven't been able to find him on 192.com.

Osama's Symbol
Obviously, unless it's in Arabic, there is no right or wrong way to spell his name, so we suggest that in future he's just known by this symbol:

Next on the list is this guy - James J Bulger. A man responsible for more criminal acts than Simon Cowell.

James J Bulger
Now this picture was taken in 1994, and he looks like he's wanted by the FBI for Conspiracy to Service A Photocopier.

He's been on the run now for several years now, and so the FBI have used their colossal resources to produce a more updated image of what he might look like now.

James J Bulger - with bad tash
Genius! They've added a moustache - look!

See, in your head, you're imagining high-tech spy satellites and Clarice Starling chasing bad guys...

But in your heart, you know it's just one guy at a PC with a really old version of PhotoShop.

Robert William Fisher
And that leads us to this guy.

His name's Robert William Fisher, and he's wanted for murder, arson and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Glossy Robert
But they've also published this earlier photo - which shows him actually winning the Mr Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution trophy.

In fact, the FBI PhotoShop guy has really gone to town on Robert William Fisher.

Bald Robert
Look at these other altered photos they've done of him. They start with him with a shaved head:

Less bald Robert
...then with a little more hair and a slight goatee:

Mullet Robert
...then with even more hair and the slight goatee:

Hairy Robert
...and finally with yet more hair and a full beard - both of which could have continued to grow since then:

Now, the FBI warns that he's "considered armed and extremely dangerous".

So please, please if you do see him, don't even think about approaching him.

Scary monkey
Unless you have prior experience of dealing with one of these.

The FBI - proving that you can run, but you can't hide.

Unless it's behind a pair of glasses and comedy beard.
