Equality law 'to close gap'

Harriet Harman, as Minister for Women and Equality, is proposing an equalities law that would put a duty on councils to help close the gap between rich and poor.

It would make it easier to fast track women and ethnic minorities into jobs, and could divert public spending from rich areas to poor ones.

Ross Hawkins spoke to the Guardian's Polly Toynbee and David Yeandle from The Manufacturers' Organisation, EEF to find out who might, and might not, be affected.
