MacKenzie: PM 'nuts' to oppose Scottish independence

The former tabloid editor Kelvin MacKenzie says David Cameron is "nuts" not to support Scottish independence as it would remove many Labour MPs from Westminster and give the Conservatives a big party advantage.

But Scotland's Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said Scottish independence would be better for Scotland and for the rest of the UK. England and Scotland would be the best of friends and the closest of allies, she said.
