The former editor of the Times and Evening Standard Sir Simon Jenkins says there should be no Libyan style intervention by the West in Syria.

A member of the Question Time audience had asked whether it was time for military action after reports that 3,500 civilians had been killed by the Syrian authorities.

But Mr Jenkins told him: "It's not my country."
