"Neet" is the latest buzzword for teenage drop-outs |
They hang around your street corners. They are more likely to be the kids vandalising your car, taking drugs and having babies whilst still teenagers.
They can each cost up to 300,000 of tax payers money in their lifetime.
They are the lost generation of youngsters labelled NEETs - not in education, employment or training.
And they are such a big problem the government is spending millions tackling it.
We find out how bad the situation is in the South East, what is being done about it and get some personal views of the youngsters themselves.
Rant of the week
This new, regular, slot is filled this week by a member of the Liberal Democrat Party.
With strong opinions on each side following Charles Kennedy's resignation, tune in to discover what one member really thinks about the behaviour of the Parliamentary Party.
Paper review
This week Bernard Ginns, Editor of the Kent on Sunday, fills the guest reviewer slot with his take on the week's regional and national stories.
