Some Panorama viewers were so moved by Grace's story in "Dead mums don't cry" that they decided to set up a charity to help her - called Hope for Grace Kodindo. Four of them went out to see Grace and find out what practical assistance they could give her - Pippa Zintilis, Angela Gorman, Ann Pettitt and Helen da Costa.
They spent ten days with Grace, visiting the hospital, meeting the midwives, helping with training and hearing from everyone from the UNFPA to the Minister of Health about long term strategies to reduce maternal mortality in Chad.
They also saw for themselves how the drugs and equipment they'd sent out were already saving lives.
