Deborah Bull is a writer and broadcaster. She danced with The Royal Ballet from 1981 to 2001, the last 10 years as a principal dancer.
Early in 2002 she took up a new position as Artistic Director of ROH2 at the Royal Opera House, a programme of small to medium scale work complementing the repertoire of the main stage and focussing on new art, new artists and new audiences.
She has published two books and contributes regularly to newspapers, magazines and the BBC.
Her most recent television series 'The Dancer's Body', which she wrote, presented and danced in was on BBC Two in 2002. Radio 3 broadcast her latest radio series, Sounds of Dance, in December 2003.
