John Gray
John Gray is Professor of European Thought at the London School of Economics.

Prior to this he was Professor of Politics at Oxford University and Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford.

He is a former supporter of the New Right, but has since revised his views. He is a regular contributor to the Guardian and the Times Literary Supplement and is the author of many books on political theory.

His most recent books include "Endgames: Questions in Late Political Thought" (1997) and "False Dawn: The Delusions of Global Capitalism" (1998)

"Straw Dogs: Thoughts on Humans and Other Animals" is published by Granta Books in September 2002.

John Gray is married and lives in Oxford.
