| This writer, academic and broadcaster studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford and then at London University, where she is currently Reader in English and Contemporary Culture at Queen Mary College. She has presented several radio series, among them Adventures in Poetry (Radio 4) and Sound Stories (Radio 3), and edited several literary anthologies including The Sappho Companion and Victorian Women Poets. The Sappho Companion is her most recent book, and was published under the name of Margaret Reynolds.
