Columnist and satirical writer Craig Brown was educated at Eton and Bristol University then moved straight down to London to pursue a career as freelance journalist. Brown appears in the UK media under a variety of disguises. In The Independent on Sunday he is Wallace Arnold, until recently he wrote a column as Bel Mooney in The Guardian, and he has a diary in Private Eye under a number of topical guises.
As well as comedy shows such as Norman Ormal for TV, Craig Brown has also been responsible for restaurant reviews in The Daily Telegraph, a couple of stage shows and the books The Little Book of Chaos and The Hounding of John Thomas.
