Collateral Damage
Collateral Damage

(Edited highlights of the panel's review)

James Patterson
Here is my advice to potential ticket buyers out there. Stay home and watch the Falklands Play or rent a movie called Deep. Arnold is preposterous in the role. He cannot go incognito through the jungles and little villages and pretend that no-one is noticing that it's this very large white man on the scene.

Elaine Showalter
This film has just got slaughtered. These are the worst reviews I have ever seen on a movie that's been released. It's real overkill here. This is an action film, nothing much to it. Don't get your knickers in a twist. There's a great little part in the middle that I thought was very interesting. I thought it was a perfectly reasonable way to spend a couple of hours en route to the pub. People are making too much of its political implications.

Paul Morley
I thought it was a great big condom that's going to go straight to eight-track cartridge. Leguizamo is interesting in the middle. He says things that people are thinking. This big white man will blend in easily, and you ask how can it happen. I think it's pornographic. The scene with the snake and the human being caused a few people to walk out where I was. How can someone with pro-American values and family be involved in a film that contains such a scene? It's absolutely disgusting.
