It's the start of a new tax year and a good time to get your money working harder for you.
The tax-free ISA allowance has increased to £11,280 - giving investors the chance to put it all in a Stocks and Shares Isa, or half of it - £5,640 - into a Cash Isa. Banks and Building Societies have a number of deals available, but it's worth checking the rates to get the best value for your hard-earned cash. The stock market started the year strongly, but there have been bumps along the way and plenty of uncertainty for the future. Yet experts say there bargains to be had. So how much risk are you willing to take? Whether you're keen to save, new to investing or experienced in the stock market, you may have a question for our panel of experts. Which savings accounts pay the best rate of interest? What type of equity investments are available? Which sectors should you choose? How much should you pay in fees and charges? How do you assess risk and choose a fund?
