All of the big six energy companies have lowered bills to certain customers in response to falling wholesale prices. But it will still be hard for people who are considering switching to a new supplier to make an informed decision, as the major energy companies have not cut both gas and electricity prices. For those people who want to cut their bills by installing solar panels, there has also been a major development. As long as households get their solar panels installed and registered by 3rd March 2012, they will get paid 43.3p per kilowatt-hour. The Government had tried to halve the level of feed-in-tariff from December last year but lost a case in the Appeal Court. With the cold snap forecast to continue, you may want to know if you are eligible to claim any grants or benefits. Who is the cheapest provider in your area? How long will it take to switch?
