State pension age delays explained

Women will have to wait longer to collect state pension

The Government has published the detailed timetable for raising state pension age faster than previously planned.

Here are the old and new dates for women born on 6 April 1953 to 5 April 1959 and for men born 6 December 1953 to 5 April 1959.

Women's pension age also sets the qualification age for men and women to claim pension credit and winter fuel payment and free bus passes in England.
