The National Union of Students estimate that average student expenditure for the 2009/10 academic year is £15,090 within London and £14,088 elsewhere. Total debts at graduation could reach £23,500 for those who began their course in 2009 say student advice website Push. If you are struggling to make ends meet while studying, or hoping to begin a a course in the autumn you may have a question for the panel. What will it cost to be a student? How will the course tuition fees be paid? Who is entitled to a maintenance loan or grant? When should you apply? What interest rate is charged on student loans? Where can you find information about scholarships and bursaries?
