On Wednesday's programme Paul Lewis and guests took your calls about tax and self assessment.

It is the start of a new year and if you are intending to file your tax return online you need to submit this to HMRC by 31 January.

You may have savings and investments offshore and are unclear about your tax position. The HMRC deadline for declaring those assets has just passed. So you'll need to act quickly to avoid paying an even heftier fine.

And remember, if you think you may need to fill in a tax return but have not received a form, it is up to you to contact HMRC and request one.
