On Wednesday's programme Paul Lewis and guests invited your calls on credit cards, loans and repairing your credit report. There are 72,598 million credit and charge cards in issue according to the UK payments association and the average interest rate charged is an annual percentage rate (APR) of 15.9%. The Bank of England's 'Trends in Lending' report says that UK lenders expect consumer credit to remain weak over coming months, reflecting further tightening in both credit availability and demand. With lenders restricting access to credit and charging higher interest rates, you may have a question about finding a deal which suits your needs and your budget? How can you compare deals and find the cheapest product? Is it worth considering cards which offer incentives such as cash back or charitable donations? Would it be sensible to move an outstanding debt to another card, called a 'balance transfer'? What determines your credit limit? Perhaps you have been told you have a poor credit score.
