On Wednesday's Money Box Live Vincent Duggleby and guests answered your questions on renting and letting. The latest data from The Council of Mortgage Lenders brings better news for landlords as buy-to-let mortgage lending has grown for the first time in two years. Gross mortgage lending grew by 10% in the third quarter of 2009, however overall lending volumes remain much lower than their 2007 peak. Meanwhile The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) says that more than three times as many ARLA members think that landlords are buying properties than selling. The majority of ARLA offices - 93% - also reported an increase in the number of tenants haggling with landlords over rents in the past six months and over 63% have seen more tenants struggling to meet rental payments.
