Money Box: care home fees

The Conservative Party has promised to introduce an insurance scheme so that older people will not have to sell their home to pay nursing home fees.

The scheme would be run by the insurance industry but backed by the Government.

The Conservative Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley told Paul Lewis how it would work.
