 | BBC Radio 4's Money Box Live Wednesday 30 September at 1502 BST On BBC Radio 4 and Online |
On Wednesday's programme Vincent Duggleby and guests took your calls about banking. The way current and savings accounts are regulated will change from 1 November 2009 when the Financial Services Authority takes over from the Banking Code. New rules setting out how banks and building societies should deal with customers are set out in the Banking Conduct of Business Sourcebook, known as BCOBS. This guidance will work alongside Payment Services Regulations aiming to improve consistency and consumer protection measures for payment transactions. If you have a question about your rights and responsibilities under the current or new banking system you can call or e-mail the programme. Do you understand the terms and conditions of your account? Are you happy with the service you receive? Would you like advice about choosing or switching between products? Or perhaps you need help to resolve a dispute. Whatever your concern, Vincent Duggleby and guests were here to offer advice. Vincent was joined by: • Tim Franklin, chief operating officer, The Co-operative Financial Services • Eric Leenders, executive director of retail, British Bankers' Association • Dominic Lindley, principal policy adviser, Which? Presenter: Vincent Duggleby Producer: Diane Richardson
