Many small businesses are struggling to survive in an economy where customers are tightening their belts and banks are reluctant to lend. In a Money Box special programme Penny Haslam looks at what advice there is to help small businesses cope with the recession. Money Box reporter, Bob Howard, visits a small firm in North Wales, called Anglesey Sea Salt, which sells organic salt and which has been trying to secure a loan through the government-backed Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme. Penny Haslam also gets tips from a manufacturing company that has survived for the past 250 years.
