In the midst of the recession it is more important than ever to have a good credit history if you want to borrow money. On Wednesday, Presenter Paul Lewis took your questions on credit reports and put them to an expert panel. Perhaps you have been turned down for credit but do not understand why. Do you know how to access information about your credit history and score? How can you improve your chances of getting credit? What can you do if the information held about you is wrong? If you suspect fraudulent activity, what can you do about it and how can you protect yourself in future? Or perhaps you need advice about prioritising or paying off existing debts to improve your credit rating. Whatever your question, our panel of experts was here to give you advice. Paul Lewis was joined by: - Owen Roberts, head of Callcredit Check
- Neil Munroe, director, external affairs, Equifax Plc
- Beccy Boden-Wilks, debt adviser at National Debtline
