On Wednesday's Money Box Live, Vincent Duggleby took your questions about ISAs and tax free savings and put them to a panel of expert guests. The deadline for using this year's Individual Savings Accounts (ISA) allowance is less than one month away. Up to £7,200 can be invested tax free but investors must act before 5 April 2009 or the opportunity will be lost. Do you understand the ISA rules? How much can be invested in cash or stocks and shares? What are the best cash ISA interest rates and can you move to another provider? Perhaps you are considering transferring from a cash ISA into a stocks and shares ISA - what are the risks and costs? You may be confused by the changing rules and terminology - if you previously held a Personal Equity Plan (PEP), a TESSA or Tessa only ISA (TOISA), or a Mini or Maxi ISA where do you fit into the current system? Or maybe you would like to find out about other tax efficient ways to save? Whatever your question our panel of experts was here to give you advice. Vincent Duggleby was joined by: • Mark Dampier, head of research, Hargreaves Lansdown • Michelle Slade, press officer, Moneyfacts • Adrian Lowcock, senior investment adviser, Bestinvest Presenter: Vincent Duggleby Producer: Lesley McAlpine
