People who lost all, or substantial parts, of their works pensions have celebrated some success following changes made to the Pensions Bill in the House of Lords.

But will it make any difference in the long run?

On Saturday's programme we also asked why many of those suffering most after the "wind-up" of pension schemes are still not getting the financial help they expected.

We heard from an affected pensioner, plus we spoke to Alan Higham of the Financial Assistance Scheme review team and pensions campaigner Ros Altmann.

Tax clampdown

We ask Mr Hartnett of HM Revenue & Customs about the amnesty

Money Box spoke to Dave Hartnett, a director general of HM Revenue and Customs about its policies to clamp down on tax evaders.

We discussed the current amnesty being offered to people who have tax owing from investments in foreign holiday homes, off-shore accounts and buy-to-let property.

Debt fears

It could become easier for creditors to put a charge on debtors' homes

A planned new law could make it easier for creditors to put a "charge" against debtors' properties.

A leading debt advice charity says more people will end up involved in court cases because creditors will refuse to negotiate as they do now.

The concern comes just as figures for the numbers of people being taken to court for non-payment of debts reaches a 10 year high.
