Crooks Revisited
Man in handcuffs

Kenyon Confronts: Crooks Revisited was broadcast on 26 June, 2002 on BBC One

Paul Kenyon travels to the four corners of the globe to find out what happened to the villains exposed during the last two years of "Kenyon Confronts", with startling and even tragic results.

There is the Greek restaurateur from St Albans who faked his own death to make a fortune in life insurance.

His name is Kyriakos Boukouvalas. Kenyon found him alive and well, living in Athens. That was in the last series.

Just one of the Boukouvalas' disguises
Now we discover his criminality is far more serious. It turns out he has been involved in death before, and not just his own.

Kenyon discovers Mr Boukouvalas is actually a killer on the run who has been living under a series of false identities for over two decades.

Boukavalis killed his own girlfriend and her mother in Egypt 24 years ago.

He fled the country, and was sentenced to death in his absence. Kenyon finds out that the killer had been on the run ever since and tracks him down.

We also reveal the tragic consequences of the bogus doctor who had practiced on the most famous medical street in the world, Harley Street.

The real Dr Majid Ali Kazmi
The real Dr Majid Ali Kazmi takes a second opinion
Following the programme, the police investigated. The full extent of the deception was far beyond what anyone had imagined.

"Dr"Ali Kazmi had treated hundreds of male patients, sometimes injecting them, offering to do surgery, conducting intimate examinations and prescribing drugs.

Kenyon discovers how he made half a million pounds by stealing the identity of a real consultant. The bogus doctor had obtained the real Dr Kazmi's 'A' Level grades, an employer's reference and even a certificate from the General Medical Council.

Then, there is greyhound racing.

It has long been rumoured as a corrupt sport. In the last series we proved it. We bought our own dog Slippy Parkside.

"Kenyon Two" supporters leap from the trap
Slippy's trainers who we exposed as race fixers and who conned punters have, as a result of the programme, been disqualified from racing.

But in a bizarre twist Paul Kenyon and the programme director "the Kenyon Two" were called to the "greyhound court", a hearing of the greyhound governing body, and faced a 3000 fine despite highlighting the need for a clean up.

The "Free the Kenyon Two" campaign was launched!
