William R Rhodes, who was Senior Vice-Chairman of Citibank from 1991 to 2010, says if the EU wants Greece to stay in the euro they have to be realistic and allow the new government time to implement the austerity measures, tax reform and privatisation.
He told Zeinab Badawi that Germany had been a main beneficiary of the euro and it was in their interest to keep the eurozone together.
