Britain's backlash against the bankers is gathering momentum. Political pressure has forced one bank chief to forego a hefty bonus and another to be stripped of his knighthood. There are loud demands for a wider crackdown on stratospheric executive pay.

Politicians from all sides are insisting that capitalism be 'responsible'. Stephen Sackur talks to three people in the industry: Ken Costa - a long-time investment bank chief, Nicola Horlick - a leading fund manager and Lord Richard Newby - a UK High Pay Commissioner.
