European football has become a billion dollar ballgame with vast sums of money earned from TV revenue, merchandising and ticket sales.

Multimillionaires from the USA , Russia and Asia have started to buy English Premier League clubs in what is the single most popular football league in the world.

Michel Platini is the President of European football's governing body, UEFA, and he warns against the "malign and ever present influence of money" in football.
