In an Extratime interview first broadcast on 24 August 2007, Rob Bonnet speaks to Carolina Kluft, the world and Olympic heptathlon champion.

Extra Time has travelled to Stockholm ahead of the World Athletics Championships starting in Japan this weekend to interview one of the most accomplished athletes in track and field.

In her chosen event, the heptathlon, Carolina Kluft, is the Olympic gold medallist, world champion and world record holder.

She hasn't lost a single competition since becoming a senior athlete six years ago and claims that she competes purely for the love of her sport.

But she also talks about the growing pressure she feels to keep winning and says she has considered setting the heptathlon aside to concentrate on just one event.

She talks to Rob Bonnet about her plans for the World Championships and next year's Beijing Olympics - and talks candidly about the long shadow that doping has cast over athletics.

HARDtalk can be seen on BBC World at 03:30h GMT (not Asia), 08:30h GMT, 14:30h GMT, 20:30h GMT, 23:30h GMT (not Asia)

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 0430 and 2330.
