When the decree went before parliament for approval, the Islamist bloc managed to get it thrown out. So when Kuwaitis go to the polls in July, women will still have no say in who runs their country. Massoumah Al-Mubarak is a professor of political science and a leading figure in the women's rights movement. She tells Tim Sebastian about the continued struggle for the vote.
