Will the rising cost of oil mean the end of low cost travel?

The political turmoil in Libya, an oil-producing country, and fears that the unrest could spread to the world's largest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia, has sent oil and fuel prices soaring.

The uncertainty over oil prices has caused some airlines to add fuel surcharges to their fares.
