Mauritius a top travel destination for 2011

Countries the world over depend upon the strength of their brand to attract tourists and encourage them to spend their money. So, where are the popular hotspots likely to be in 2011?

Brand consultancy Futurebrand and BBC World News have carried out a global survey asking over 3000 people about their perceptions of destinations in five categories, including tourism.

The island nation of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean came in top, with tourists placing increasing importance on good value for money.
