We've seen voice control and voice activated search before on handsets, but Apple claims to have created an intelligent all-in-one personal assistant for its new iPhone 4S.
Despite having been available as an app for a while, Siri is still in beta - a work in progress - which Apple says will adapt to accents and respond to natural speech.
