| ![]() Prime Minister Tony Blair Sunday 30th September on BBC One On this week's programme the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, told Sir David that he has seen incontrovertible evidence that Osama bin Laden was linked to the terrorist attack on America on September 11th. He said he has not yet reached a decision over intoducing identity cards in Britain but he did promise that the Commons would consider a package of measures to speed up extradition procedures. The former President of the United States, George Bush, told Breakfast with Frost that the war on terrorism will be nothing like the Gulf War. He told Sir David that Osama bin Laden is a much more shadowy enemy than Saddam Hussein. The European Union's External Affairs Commissioner, Chris Patten, reviewed the Sunday newspapers. He told Sir David about his diplomatic visits to Iran and Pakistan and criticised Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi's comments about the superiority of Western Civilisation.
