| ![]() Northern Ireland Secretary Dr John Reid Sunday 5th August on BBC 1 On this week's programme, the Northern Ireland Secretary, John Reid, told Peter Sissons that it's essential to "make politics work" in Northern Ireland. The Ulster Unionist MP, Jeffrey Donaldson, told Breakfast with Frost that the Northern Ireland peace process is not working - and that it's time to go back to the drawing board. The Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, Sir Ronnie Flanagan, told Peter Sissons that he has his suspicions as to who was responsible for the Ealing car bomb. The Liberal Democrat MP, Simon Hughes, told Breakfast with Frost that he is concerned that British police are moving towards a US gun culture - where officers are routinely armed. Peter Sissons talked to Clive Anderson live from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - the biggest arts festival in the world.
