Take the Trumpton test
Characters from Trumpton
So many characters - but how many do you remember
What were you doing in the late 1960s and 1970s?

Assuming that you were even born then, you might have been at home watching television, either as a child or a parent.

If so, then you will no doubt be familiar with the fictitious towns of Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley - and the voice of Brian Cant.

Brian performed the songs and narrated the children's programmes, and went on to appear in front of the camera in numerous programmes including Play School and Play Away.

  • To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Trumpton, BBC One's Breakfast brought the presenter Brian Cant into the studio. You can watch our interview by clicking on the top right hand side of this story

  • We've set you a little quiz - remember it's just a bit of fun and there's no prize
