We talked to two who failed - and to Sir Alan himself |
Fourteen hopefuls have been whittled down to two - and tonight, we'll find out who's hired and who's fired in the final episode of The Apprentice. The reality TV series has been an unexpected hit for the BBC's - and has turned Sir Alan Sugar into a household name.
Amid tears, tantrums and boardroom rantings, Sir Alan has dispensed with the services of 12 hopefuls so far, leaving two of the women - Michelle and Ruth - to battle it out.
Neither have had an easy ride from Sir Alan who's been dishing out feedback in his customary blunt style.
But tonight one of the women will hear the words "you're hired!"
This morning on Breakfast:
Sugar: "What you see is what you get" |
We talked to Sir Alan himself, live from his home. "I'm not an actor, " he told us. "What you see is what you get."
He refused to be drawn on who'll win tonight's final, which has already been filmed, but he did tell us:
"It's been so hard to choose between the two. They're both very capable although they have completely different skill sets.
"It was a terrible decision."
We also talked to two of the candidates who have already been turned down: Jo Cameron and Syed Ahmed. Jo and Syed: labelled the liar and the nutter |
We put to them the labels "the nutter" and "the liar" which they were given by Sir Alan's team.
"I don't deny that sometimes I'm a nutter," said Jo. "That's some of me some of the time - not all of me all of the time."
Syed doesn't accept the label "liar"
But he does reckon he learned from his time on the show - and he has used that to help run the company he set up 18 months ago.
Tomorrow morning, we'll be talking live to the winner of The Apprentice.
