Mel C goes it alone
Mel C - live in the Breakfast studio
Mel talked to Natasha Kaplinsky and Simon McCoy
Since her days as a Spice Girl, Mel C hasn't exactly had a quiet life. But maybe the title of her latest single sums it all up: Better Alone.

Mel joined the Spice Girls at the age of 20 - and was nicknamed Sporty Spice for her love of tee shirts and tracky bottoms.

Since the group split, she's had some solo success including two number One singles - but has career has never matched the group's superstar status.

Now, she's back with a new album, Beautiful Intentions. And the new single, Better Alone, is available as a download only from today (you can get it through her website - or through i-tunes).

  • We found out how life's been treating Mel when she joined us live on Breakfast.
