 Advicenow.org: 30% of co-habiting couples split up |
Back in December, we featured a story on Breakfast about the rights of couples when they decide to live together.
And now the website advicenow.org.uk which provides independent advice on legal issues and consumer rights is providing an online checklist for when a relationship breaks down.
It's estimated that 30% of couples who choose to live together will eventually break up.

The legal rights website says that many couples delay sorting out their financial and practical business because they are in a state of turmoil.
When a relationship ends, it can often be very stressful and that can mean a delay in addressing important issues.
The 'checklist' is free and can be downloaded from 'Advicenow' (via the link to the right of this page).
It's described as being packed with useful advice, Mary Webber, co-habitation expert at Advicenow commented, "Breaking up a relationship is always painful and it is easy to avoid sorting everything out properly..."
